Proud Recruitment is led by George Beckon Khoury, whose experience spans recruitment management, employability training, employer engagement, internal recruitment, stakeholder partnerships, bid writing, education and frontline work.
That includes experience across security, retail, hospitality, banking, transport, events, hair and beauty, care, construction and utilities, including work connected to organisations such as Thames Water, Greggs and Transport for London.
George has supported vulnerable adults, designed and delivered government funded employability programmes, built employer led opportunities and worked across the recruitment journey from role creation and promotion through to sourcing, screening and placement.
As a gender fluid queer person with lived experience of workplace exclusion, George understands the difference between inclusion as a statement and inclusion in daily practice.

At Proud Recruitment, this started with more than a business idea. It came from lived experience and a belief that everyone deserves a space to feel safe, valued, and proud of who they are. Too often, fear of judgment or rejection stops brilliant people from stepping into roles where they could thrive. We see it, we’ve lived it, and that’s why we’re here. We believe talent, dedication, and creativity should always matter more than outdated stereotypes. Our mission is to break down the barriers that prevent LGBTQ+ people from pursuing careers they love because no one should be made to shrink themselves to fit in.
